Come, all ye murderers...

Abortion is murder! To advocate for it, one has to abandon truth, reason, and/or conscience. They have to abandon truth by ignoring the science of biology and/or changing the very definition of murder and/or human being. They have to abandon reason by giving credence more to their affections and feelings than clear evidence and truth. Or they have to abandon conscience by acknowledging both the biological reality that a fetus is a human baby and the moral reality that murder is the intentional taking of a human life, yet at the same time defend a woman’s right to kill the child. Surprisingly, I find more and more people today brutally honest about option #3.

Therefore Christian, the loving thing to do is stand in the gap for the little one.

Proverbs 24:11-12 states, "Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, “Behold, we did not know this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?" Scripture also says in Proverbs 31:8-9 "Speak upfn for those who have no voice,fn for the justice of all who are dispossessed. Speak up, judge righteously, and defend the cause of the oppressed and needy."

And yes, Jesus would approve. He’s the Author of those very words. And at the same time, He’s the Author of these words as well, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matt:11:28-30)

Know that abortion is sin because it is the unlawful, premeditated murder of a human being. It's one that is particularly grievous because it is a sin against God, a sin against our own bodies, and a sin against our littlest of neighbors. Also, it's imperative to note that while these things are true, it is not the unforgivable sin. Abortion, like many sins, all of our sins, will leave us one day without excuse as we stand before God. In that moment He will render just punishment to all of us according to our sins and the just punishment of such is eternal death in Hell. This will be true for everyone, unless you are found in Christ! So, it is imperative for all to reread Matt. 11:28-30 and John 3:16 because we’re all sinners, but Christ is a sufficient and willing Savior ready to receive all that will come to Him by repentance and faith. The Lord says to all men everywhere, “Come, have your sins forgiven in Christ! Come legalists and libertarians, come moral and immoral, come idolaters and murderers, come cowards and liars, come faithless and unfaithful! Come!”

So, we too as ambassadors of Christ and ministers of reconciliation beg you on behalf of Christ, ”Come!”
